AC Goatham & Son reduce time spent inputting data enabling them to work more collaboratively

AC Goatham & Son produce, grow, store and transport top quality apples and pears. They farm over 26 farms in Kent, working closely with partner growers to supply fruit to major UK supermarkets.
After struggling to find a software solution to match their requirements, Director Steve Everard approached Muddy Boots with the aim to upgrade from their in-house spray/recording system. He felt Muddy Boots had the right demonstrable knowledge of the farming industry and were the only software provider they had approached that truly understood their requirements.
Steve commented that “the whole team at Muddy Boots have been extremely helpful and have understood any requests that we have made.”
After an initial tentative, limited use trial, a large scale system adoption by spray operators was accomplished with relative ease. Using Greenlight Farm Management from Muddy Boots has resulted in huge savings in time spent inputting data, as well as a vast reduction in paper being used. It’s also improved collaboration between agronomists and operators with seamless communication when passing on recommendations within the system.
This provides management and agronomists with immediate visibility of the application of sprays in real time. AC Goatham & Son have also found that all reports and recommendations can be viewed and run off with very little effort. As a result, compliance audits are made more straightforward because of this.

"The progression has been very simple and all that use it, agree that it is straightforward to use. We have been asked why we haven’t used Muddy Boots beforehand!"
